Danielle completed her Bachelor of Commerce at James Cook University in Cairns where she has lived since moving here from England when she was 7yrs old.

She has been practicing bookkeeping since 2006 in a range of industries mainly including hospitality, construction & retail. Danielle has worked for Cherie at A1 Bookkeeping since having her first child in 2012, then purchased the businesses from Cherie in 2024.

She is passionate about keeping her staff and clients up to date with compliance and financial industry news and looking out for ways to streamline processes so that our clients are getting the best value from their software and bookkeepers. Danielle oversees all clients work to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction and lodges the BAS’s & IAS’s. Danielle has a supportive partner, two daughters & is also part of the Canine Training School Team (hence the company name) and a board member of MacKillop Catholic College.

Cherie Macrae

Since the establishment of A1 Bookkeeping in 2010, Cherie has been providing well known bookkeeping services to clients throughout Cairns, encompassing a wide range of industries and sectors including retail, construction, franchises and not-for-profit. In August 2019 Cherie decided to expand her client base and purchased the business ‘Dee-Stress Bookkeeping’.

In 2024, she sold both Dee-Stress Bookkeeping & A1 Bookkeeping Company to Danielle. Cherie has completed Certificate IV in Financial Services. Cherie still has a passion for bookkeeping and will continue to be a valuable team member and bookkeeper for A1 Bookkeeping Cairns.

Carly  Walters - Bookkeeper

Carly has completed a Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping; she has been loyal team member of A1 Bookkeeping Company since 2010. Carly specialises in the electrical and construction industries and has an eye for detail. Carly has two children and loves to spend time with her family & dog outside of bookkeeping.

Anta Rubulis - Bookkeeper

Anta is a qualified CPA Accountant; she has been loyal team member of A1 Bookkeeping Company since 2011. Anta runs ‘A1 Accounting’ alongside bookkeeping for A1 Bookkeeping cairns. Anta specialises in the real estate and transport industries and has extensive knowledge in the finance industry. Anta has an adult son and teenage daughter and loves to spend time on her property on the tablelands with her animals or volunteering for the SES.

Donna Kidner - Bookkeeper

Donna has completed a Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping; she has been loyal team member of A1 Bookkeeping Company since 2017. Donna specialises in the electrical, construction, agriculture, sporting club, hair & beauty industries, she has a versatile range of clients and is always happy to help. Donna has a son and twin teenage daughters, which has made her into a multitasking professional.

Gayle Baxter Bookkeeper

Gayle has completed a Certificate IV in financial services, she has been working within finance for the past 16 years firstly in hospitality then moving to Retail and Medical. Gayle enjoys challenges and strives to ensure the job is done correctly. Gayle has two small children and in her spare time you can generally find her down the squash courts.

Kendal Mostert - Bookkeeper

Kendal completed her Cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting at ACCM college. Before starting with the Dee-Stress team Kendal worked in tourism for 16 years in which she worked in a few different job roles such as reservations clerk, customer service and administration. Kendal has 2 children a boy and girl and in her spare time loves to go camping, catching up with friends and enjoying some quality family time. She is motivated and loves learning new aspects of the business and clients.

Shawn Juranovich Bookkeeper

Shawn completed her Cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting at TAFE College. Before joining the A1 Bookkeeping team Shawn worked at various tax firms for eight years, her roles being a Tax Consultant doing Individual Tax Returns. Before moving to Australia, Shawn worked as a Project Coordinator for various Direct Marketing firms including The National Geographic Society. In her off time, Shawn enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family and dogs.

We have this network base for personal development and troubleshooting.
